Caramel Dip

This recipe is quick, easy and delicious. 5 Ingredients, almost zero prep time and you can make it semi-healthy if you are feeling like you need a break from all the holiday snacking!  Plus you can mix it all in one bowl so it is easy clean up too!

A few years ago one of my friends was hosting a get together at her house. Everybody decided to bring something; wine, appetizers, chips & salsa etc.  I volunteered to bring fruit.  Fruit, fun stuff huh?  Well when you bring tasty, creamy, sweet caramel dip with the fruit, it's all good!

As I said, you can make the dip healthy if you want.  If not, you are more than welcome to go full fat.  I've had the dip both ways and they both taste delicious.  To go lighter use,  light/low fat/no fat versions of the ingredients below.

You can serve this up with anything you want.  I've paired it with grapes, apple slices, pretzels, pita chips, and chocolate graham cracker sticks.

Caramel Dip

1 C. Caramel Apple Dip (Such as Marzetti.  The dip can usually be found in the produce section of supermarkets)
4 oz. Whipped Cream Cheese
4 oz. Cool Whip
Salt (optional)
1/3 C. Heath Bar pieces

Add Caramel & Cream Cheese to the bowl.  Mix until incorporated. Add Cool Whip, mix on low speed.  Add salt to taste.   I start with a sprinkle of salt and taste after it is mixed in.  You don't want this too salty.  This dip is a sweet treat, so you are really just looking for a slight salty taste so a sprinkle or two will do.  Fold in the health bar pieces. If you want to add more Health Bar pieces go for it.

This can be made a day or two in advance.  Mix all the ingredients and store in a container in the refrigerator.

Garnish with Health Bar pieces.   Serve with your dippers of choice.
