Chocolate Dipped Potato & Pita Chips

I've been on vacation for a bit and I've been slacking with the posts but after next week I will be better. I promise!

Since I'm still in vacation mode and I'm prepping for another fun week ahead I'm going to post a quick recipe that is only a few ingredients and that people love.  I always get a request for these when I have get together with friends.

If you like the salty/sweet combo this recipe is for you. Get ready for crispy, crunchy potato or pita chips dipped in chocolate! For the dipping you will only need melting chocolate (milk, dark or white) and a bag of your favorite potato or pita chips.

When I dip pitas I usually go with Stacy's Plain Pita Chips. When choosing potato chips I always pick chip that's slightly thick and very crunchy.  My #1 choice? Cape Cod Potato Chips

These are best when dipped and served the same day but will last overnight. Don't prep to far in advance so the chips don't get soggy.

Now get dipping and enjoy!

Chocolate Dipped Potato/Pita Chips

1 lb. Melting Chocolate Disks (Your favorite!)
1 Large Bag of Cape Cod Potato or Stacy's Pita Chips
(If you dip both make sure you have more chocolate on hand, just in case)

Start by placing the chocolate in a double boiler over low heat.  While the chocolate is starting to melt, start selecting the chips you want to dip.

You want to go with the biggest chips in the bag, the curled crunchy chips are awesome too.

Prepare a layer of waxed paper by your dipping station.

When the chocolate is melted, start dipping! I like to dip 1/2 of each chip.  Leaving half of the chip naked will let people know what they are eating and allows for easy pick up.

Place the dipped chips on the waxed paper and let cool.

Once the chips are cool, place in a serving dish and share with your friends! They will love you.

These are my favorite dippers!
Start by melting chocolate in a double boiler.
Pick your chips.....
or Pitas.
Dip one half of each chip and let cool on waxed paper.
Chips are cooling.
A few more shots of the chips.
Finally cooled off.
Start again with the Pita Chips
Crispy, crunchy, salty, sweet & delish!
Serve up and enjoy!
Ready for a close up.
Sweet Pitas!

Bet you can't eat just one!
